E. Guigal Châteauneuf-du-Pape

E. Guigal Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a powerful yet beautifully composed expression of the southern Rhône’s most iconic appellation. Crafted primarily from Grenache with Syrah, Mourvèdre and other traditional varieties, it shows a deep garnet colour and an intense aromatic profile. The nose opens with ripe black cherry, plum and raspberry layered with garrigue herbs, cracked pepper, warm spice and a touch of smoked earth. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with velvety tannins supporting concentrated dark fruit, savoury complexity and subtle oak integration. Despite its richness, a fresh mineral lift keeps the wine balanced and poised. The finish is long, spicy and deeply satisfying, with excellent ageing potential. Ideal with roast lamb, slow-braised beef, game dishes or mature cheeses.
