Bruce Jack Merlot grapes are harvested early in the day from selected vineyards. Grapes were crushed, destemmed and fermented on the skin. Open and closed pump overs were given for colour extract. From there the juice is fermented, blended, stabilized and filtered. Notes of ripe raspberries and chocolate with a swirl of vanilla.
The 2016 Clearwater Cove Merlot has notes of plum, dark berries and underlying cassis. The palate is soft with finely balanced supple tannins and a rich lingering finish. Enjoy with barbequed red meats, hearty stews or dark chocolate.
A medium dark red colour with a lifted bouquet displaying dark and red berry fruits with hints of dusty oak and cedar. The palate proffers a sweet dark and red berry fruit with earthy gravelly notes and hints of graphite and bay leaf savouring the wine. The wine is rich and complex with great length and balance supported by fine-grained tannins and seamlessly integrated French oak.
