Bruce Jack The Drift Estate Heritage Boer Maak N’ Plan
24 year-old vines, barrel fermentation and maturation produce distinctive notes of yellow apple alongside green melon and lime on the nose. South Africa produces fantastic chenin blanc. Bruce Jack Chenin Blanc is typical of those examples produced in the Breedekloof. The older vineyards component was fermented in French barrels for depth and complexity. The wine shows exciting stone fruit aromas. The palate is a delicious medley of summer fruits and citrus.
Bruce Jack Sauvignon Blanc’s point of difference results from carefully blending premium Sauvignon Blanc vineyards from different areas. The cool climate component from the Cape South Coast lends this wine intense crunchy green apple and lemon grass. The riper components provide juicy white peach and touch of citrus.
Bruce Jack Blush comes from healthy grapes received early in the day. Grapes were crushed, juice drained and skins pressed. After juice settled, clear juice was used to ferment. After fermentation wine was both protein and cold stabilized. Red wine was blended proportionally to the Sauvignon Blanc hence the colour. The final step is to filter the wine.
Bruce Jack Shiraz Malbec grapes are harvested early in the day from selected vineyards. Grapes were crushed, destemmed and fermented on the skin. Open and closed pump overs were given for colour extract. From there the juice is fermented, blended, stabilized and filtered.
Many believe the best Pinotage in the world comes from the Breedekloof Valley. It is certainly one of the most awarded varieties from this area. We love the fresh, intense cherry and dark chocolate aromas. The juicy soft palate is framed by warming vanilla and touch of oak. And Bruce Jack Pinotage Malbec is great example of this.
Bruce Jack Cabernet Sauvignon a classic Cape Cabernet nose, full of cassis and black fruit. Soft, chocolate tannins on palate with ripe black currant fruit.

Bruce Jack Shiraz is a South African Shiraz tha sits perfectly between the blockbusters of the Barossa and the refinement of the Rhone. We love the raspberry, Indian spice and ripe plumb aromas. The palate is full and rich with dark chocolate, black forest fruit and smooth sexy tannins.
Bruce Jack Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Intense fig and cape gooseberry nose, typical of South Africa’s cool southern coastal vineyards. Palate is very lively with green apple, fig, nectarine and freshly cut grass.
